The Department of Lifelong Learning & Extension (D.L.L.E.) known earlier as Department of Adult and Continuing Education and Extension established on 12th October 1978 and has been recognized as a statutory department of the University of Mumbai since 1994 to promote a meaningful and sustained rapport between the Colleges and the community.
The DLLE offers flexible continuing education opportunities for the people. It is functioning under the Board of Lifelong Learning and Extension to create skilled and learned human power through its various degree level programmes and skill development programmes.
The DLLE with diverse academic and technical resources supports the communities based extension work activities in collaboration with its specific mandate to work for the less privileged sections of the society and our efforts are to extend educational programs that will enhance and improve the quality of life of such groups with the central objective of “REACH TO UNREACHED”.
Hence many students of our college have taken part in this activity and served the society. The Students enrolled for extension work projects and perform various activities for the social awareness based on various problems in the society such as Save Girl Child, Pollution, Aids, Global Warming, Save Environment, Tree Plantation, importance of Education, Illiteracy, Child Labour and so many. The students creating awareness about the social problems through different activities such as street play, exhibition, poster making, seminar and conferences.
Lokvikas Samajik Sanstha’s M.M.Jagtap College of Arts, Science and Commerce Mahad Dist. Raigad has been registered with DLLE, Department of Lifelong Learning and Extension, University of Mumbai during Academic Year 2021-22. Now, an opportunity is open to students to gain 10 grace marks at Exam during every year provided that they are working for 120hrs of extension activities/projects. As our founder late. - Students of DLLE get 10 grace Marks (Under 0.229 B) and Certificate from University of Mumbai for every year because it is one year activity.
